coaching agreement
Effective Date:
This Coaching Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between:
Coach: Cookie Taylor, The 40+ Collective
and
Client:
Together referred to as “the Parties.”
Purpose of Coaching
Coaching is a collaborative process designed to support personal growth, self-discovery, goal-setting, decision-making, confidence-building and positive life change.
The purpose of coaching is to help the Client gain greater clarity, awareness and accountability in relation to their personal and/or professional goals.
The Client understands that coaching is not advice, counselling, psychotherapy, medical treatment, financial advice, legal advice or any other regulated professional service.
Coaching Relationship
The Client acknowledges that:
- Coaching is a partnership between Coach and Client
- The Client is responsible for their own decisions, actions, and results
- The Coach does not guarantee specific outcomes or results.
- Progress depends upon the Client’s commitment, participation and implementation of agreed actions.
Coaching Sessions
The coaching programme includes:
- Number of sessions:
- Session length:
- Delivery method:
- Programme duration:
Additional sessions may be offered separately and subject to availability.
Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Attend sessions on time
- Participate honestly and openly
- Take responsibility for decisions and actions taken between sessions
- Inform the Coach of any relevant circumstances that may affect the coaching process
The Client understands that meaningful change requires personal effort and commitment.
Fees and Payment
The Client agrees to pay the agreed coaching fee of:

Payment terms:
- Payment must be received before coaching services commence unless otherwise agreed
- Missed payments may result in suspension of coaching services.
All fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in writing.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
If the Client wishes to reschedule a session, at least 48 hours’ notice must be provided.
Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be treated as completed and charged in full.
If the Coach needs to reschedule a session, reasonable notice will be given and an alternative appointment offered.
Confidentiality
The Coach agrees to keep information shared during coaching sessions confidential except where:
- Disclosure is required by law
- There is a risk of serious harm to the Client or another person
- Information is disclosed with the Client’s permission
The Client understands that electronic communications cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data Protection
The Coach will process personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Coaching Is Not Therapy or Medical Care
The Client acknowledges that coaching is not:
- Therapy
- Counselling
- Psychological diagnosis or treatment
- Mental health care
- Medical advice
- Diagnosis or treatment of any medical condition
If the Client is experiencing significant emotional distress, mental health difficulties or medical concerns, they should seek appropriate support from a qualified healthcare professional.
The Coach may recommend that the Client seek professional support where appropriate and reserves the right to pause or terminate coaching if coaching is no longer suitable.
No Guarantees
The Coach makes no guarantees regarding:
- Personal outcomes
- Emotional outcomes
- Relationship outcomes
- Career outcomes
- Business outcomes
- Financial outcomes
Individual results will vary depending on numerous factors outside the Coach’s control.
Intellectual Property
Any materials, worksheets, exercises, recordings, frameworks, guides or resources provided by the Coach remain the intellectual property of the Coach. These materials are provided for the Client’s personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, shared, sold or published without prior written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Client accepts full responsibility for their decisions, actions and results
- The Coach shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, expense or claim arising from the Client’s participation in coaching services
Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
Termination
Either Party may terminate this Agreement by providing written notice.
The Coach reserves the right to terminate coaching immediately where:
- The coaching relationship is no longer productive or appropriate
- The Client behaves abusively or unreasonably
- Fees remain unpaid
- The Coach believes coaching is no longer in the Client’s best interests
Any outstanding fees remain payable.
Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties and supersedes any previous discussions or understandings relating to the coaching services.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Acceptance
By signing below, both Parties confirm that they have read, understood and agree to the terms of this Coaching Agreement.
